Storioni Trio

Bart van de Roer, piano
Wouter Vossen, violin
Marc Vossen, cello

The Storioni Trio began in the Netherlands in 1995. Their repertoire covers the classics and modern music from Haydn to Henze. They are specialised in triple concertos and have commissioned and premiered works by several composers. Their aim in rehearsals and performance is to tell a story through music. Recently the Storionis performed all the Beethoven trios on both modern and period instruments. Their recording of Beethoven's Triple Concerto with the Netherlands Symphony Orchestra received glowing reviews worldwide. Every year the Trio directs the 10-day Storioni International Music Festival, which in recent years has seen performances by the likes of Gidon Kremer, Vadim Repin, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Nelly Miriciou, Natalia Gutman, Mischa Maisky, Sol Gabetta and Jörg Widmann. Every year the Festival commissions at least one new triple concerto. The Storioni Trio has appeared at the Wigmore Hall and Carnegie Hall and at many festivals. They have also played on tours to India, the Middle East, Australia, Taiwan, Japan and the United States.
