Junio Kimanen

Junio Kimanen studied piano at the Sibelius Academy under Marita Viitasalo and Juhani Lagerspetz, and went on to complete his studies in Italy and France under Konstantin Bogino. He has given concerts as a soloist and chamber musician in Finland, Russia, France, Italy, Canada and Japan, and has been a guest at several music festivals. Junio Kimanen is also a busy teacher of chamber music and piano and a publisher of educational materials, and he has been Artistic Director of the Kuhmo chamber music courses since 2002. His pupils have seen success in numerous piano and chamber music competitions.
